October 21, 2009 - Santa Rosa, CA - Transworld Systems participated in the Medical Group Management Association's (MGMA) Annual Conference held in Denver October 11-14. In addition to hosting a booth, Tracy Spears, a Transworld Systems' Regional Sales Director, presented a workshop on personal and team development.
Tracy's workshop, titled "Why People Do What They Do", equipped MGMA members with the skills to work better together in order to better support their practice and its patients. Members were introduced to different personality styles and gained an understanding of their own needs, strengths and motivators while learning to value the differences among people around them. The main purpose of the session was to learn the key components of achieving optimal success while maintaining awareness, appreciation and development of self and others.
"The workshop this year was a success! We planned for 50 members to attend and ended up with 160 participating. Members left with a better understanding of how to more efficiently communicate with their co-workers and patients," said Spears.
This is the 11th consecutive year that Transworld Systems, an MGMA AdminiServe® partner, has participated in the MGMA Conference. The company attends every year to meet and strengthen relationships with current clients, to network with other vendors, and to continue to establish the Transworld brand and their services throughout the Association.
"We make it a point to always attend the MGMA Conference because meeting one-on-one with our clients is a great relationship builder allowing us to better understand and adapt to their specific needs," said Barney Zeng, Transworld Systems' Vice President of Sales and Client Operations. "The conference continues to provide MGMA members with a great place to network, learn about products and services that they may not otherwise have had exposure to, and gives the opportunity to attend some educational sessions geared toward all levels and aspects of running a medical practice."
